A 92 year old Chinese taoist monk walking down from 9000 feet high in Huashan temple, I was hiking up to the temple, he was on the way down, I ask him for a permission before I photographed him. after I spend 8 hours hiking up to Huashan temple, I spoke to other monk to find out more about him, during the cultural revolution in China in 1966, during that time, the Chinese government were not allow any religious in China, including the monk in Huashan temple, what the monk did was he took out a few boards on the bath trail that no one can reach the temple, and he live in a cave alone for few years until the revolution is over. That's why he still dress up like the old day when I photographed him. he also is a kunfu master as other monk told me. His hand holding something like a (magic wand) I don't know the name for it. I think it's for religious purposes. I was on the same path just right around the corner when I took the photograph.
